Yesterday, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and the Minister of Mining and Energy held a meeting in Nis with the heads of districts. The Law on Energy Efficiency and Rational Use of Energy and the Law on Renewable Energy Sources were presented, all with the aim of creating a Green Serbia. He predicts that the effects of these laws will be seen by the end of this year. “Now we are making a ranking list, and after that it is a huge job for municipalities and cities to announce public calls for business entities that will deal with the replacement of carpentry relatively quickly, in mid-June, and then another public call for citizens who want to take part. I remind you, 50 percent is paid by the state with the municipality, and 50 percent by the household, “said Mihajlović. “Today we talked as we used to in the previous department to talk about every decision first with the mayors, and then with the local governments, because I believe that only if we are together can we have a result,” she said. It was said at the meeting that by 2050 there will be 50% of energy that will be produced from renewable sources.
