Vice President of the Government of Serbia and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, prof. Dr. Zorana Mihajlović visited the Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić, the municipality of Medveđa and the Mayor of Jablanica District and the presidents of the local self-governments of Leskovac, Lebane, Vlasotince, Crna Trava, Bojnik and Medveđa, held meetings on the topic of investment in road infrastructure as well as implementation laws from the ministry.
“This year we will invest two billion dinars in the road infrastructure of the Jablanica District. We talked not only about realized and planned projects, but also about everything that is important for a quality life of the locals. One of the topics was the implementation of laws on legalization and planning and construction, because without that there is no infrastructure development. The municipality of Medvedja is an excellent example for all others, because it is above the republican average for the speed of issuing building permits and legalization of facilities, “she said.
Mihajlovic added that it was agreed to help the public utility company “Reconstruction” to be able to maintain local roads, and that “Corridors of Serbia” will, after completion of Corridor 10, give the municipality a vehicle for use.
“In everything that is in the ministry’s ministry that I lead, and it can help to work efficiently, we are here to help,” she concluded.
Minister Vanja Udovicic emphasized that all local governments are equal and equally important for the Government of Serbia and thanked Vice-Presidents Mihajlovic for their support in the development of women’s sport. Udovicic added that the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the previous period helped build three halls in the Jablanica district and that it would not stop there.
“We want to improve the lives of young people, to encourage them to be more active, to improve school sport. Today, we talked about capital projects, but also about those smaller, local ones, which contribute to a better life for the citizens of this region, “he said.
Nebojša Arsić, Mayor of Medvedja Municipality, pointed out that a new history is being written in this local government and that after the successful visit of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Youth and Sports is another proof that the state of Serbia thinks of all local governments and Medvedja .
“This is a great incentive for us to use all the resources of this region and contribute to the economic development of the municipality. The path Lebane-Medvedja, our painful point for years, will be completed this year, and we also discussed other projects that will contribute to the development of spa tourism and connecting, “Arsic said.
Milos Ciric, the head of the Jablanica District, said that the cooperation between the Government of Serbia and line ministries with Jablanica District is high and that he expects to start the realization of the projects that were being discussed in the short term, primarily in the development of transport infrastructure.
