April 12, 1999

On April 12, 1999, a passenger train traveling from Belgrade to Niš to Skopje was shelled while crossing a bridge in the Grdelica Gorge. Every year, on this date, the families of the victims, representatives of the Railway, the city of Leskovac, and citizens gather to pay tribute to those tragically lost.

At the memorial site, a wreath was laid by the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Nikola Selaković, alongside other dignitaries including the Mayor of Leskovac, Dr. Sci. Med. Goran Cvetanović, and the Chief of the Jablanica Administrative District, Miloš Ćirić.

Eternal glory to them!
