On April 12, 1999, a passenger train traveling from Belgrade to Nis and Skopje was shelled while crossing a bridge in the Grdelica Gorge. Every year, on this date, families of the victims, representatives of the railway company, the city of Leskovac and citizens gather to pay tribute to those who tragically lost their lives. Wreaths were laid at the memorial site by the mayor of Leskovac, Dr. med. Goran Cvetanovic, and the head of the Jablanica administrative district, Milos Ciric. Eternal glory to them!
